10,000th Lamborghini rolls out of factory

Posted by Nellusso On June - 29 - 2010

Lamborghini fans, take note–there are now 10,000 Gallardos cruising the streets. Lamborghini, sometimes considered the more exotic of the two well-known Italian supercar manufacturers, has announced that it has built the 10,000th Gallardo. Says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. This landmark number caused workers at the factory to call June 25th, Lamborghini Day. The momentous occasion was celebrated by the workers by posing for a photo with 10,000th Midas yellow car. The super car has been declared Top Gear’s Dream Car of the Year twice (2006 and 2009), and currently boasts a top speed of 201 miles per hour and can reach from 0 to 60 in just 3.8 seconds. Whatever the case, lucky number 10,000 is painted up in Midas Yellow and is headed for China. Lamborghini does produce these in small batches over the year and there’s a waiting list. If you’re not a patient person, gently used is the way to go.
