New Gucci Limited Edition collection

Gucci announce the launch of a new Limited Edition collection, exclusively available at the House’s boutiques in Capri, Monte Carlo and Cannes. This collection is characterized by three distinct colors, which draw inspiration from their corresponding city: Capri Green for Capri, Sporting Red for Monte Carlo and Lilac for Cannes.

The collection consists of four elegant proposals- Sunset Bag: shopping beach bag in the iconic Original GG fabric with leather trim, or in the leather Cellarius version. Both models have a double handle and metal details with the GG logo and an address book personalized with the boutique’s name. The Beauty Clutch too is made from the iconic GG fabric with leather trim and is perfect practical accessory for make-up. As for the candles, each boutique features a different fragrance candle. Iris Satin for Capri, Lavande Blanche for Cannes and La Cologne for Monte Carlo. The candles all reside in a leather candle holder that bears the boutiques name. This new Limited Edition will be available in Capri, Monte Carlo and Cannes from May until the end of the 2010 summer season.

Louis Vuitton unveils the new bond street Maison

This new Maison combines the existing Louis Vuitton store at 17/18 New Bond Street and the adjoining premises at 19/20 New Bond Street which was formerly occupied by Donna Karan creating a 20,000 sq ft of luxurious shopping space. This Maison, which reflects Louis Vuitton’s rare art-de-vivre and savoir-faire, is conceived as the home of a collector who loves only the best and the rarest.

Situated at the junction of New Bond Street and Clifford Street, this Maison will be, in the words of architect Peter Marino, “the most luxurious Louis Vuitton store to date”.

The Balvenie reveals 40yo single malt

Leading independent distiller William Grant & Sons unveiled a new, limited edition 40yo expression of The Balvenie Single Malt Scotch Whisky at the recent TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore. This limited edition 40yo is a batch of just 150 hand-numbered bottles that holds the unique combination of human craft and natural alchemy. Priced at $3600, which will be available exclusively in travel retail from July, each bottle is presented in a bespoke wooden box, handmade in oak by Scottish craftsmen Sam Chinnery and hand-engraved by his father.

The new bike called Fendi Abici Amante Donna as featured in Vogue has been causing quite a stir. The one of a kind bike is designed for luxe city cruising at two price points. A $5,900 version comes with Fendi’s Selleria leather accessories. such as a key and bike chain cover and leather gps navigation holder, and a detachable Fendi case that on its own costs $975. The more expensive, luxury version costs a mere $9,500.

Those of you who might have seen James Bond controlling his cars with watch in old movies would never have had thought in rarest of dreams that one day it will be a reality, there’s the AMVOX DBS Transponder watch. Built in cooperation with Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Aston Martin AMVOX DBS Transponder includes the same chronograph functionality as the AMVOX2 line of watches. Down side: you have to own a DBS to get the watch. The world’s largest car dealership, the Autopia Europia in Istanbul, Turkey featuring a roof-mounted racetrack outside and 56 separate bars inside, the 708,661 square-foot. It is currently under construction, and its designers don’t envision Autopia Europia as a car dealership, but rather a car mall featuring 200 individual showrooms, 48 service stations, 42 insurance companies and 24 banks. Rather than racing, the rooftop track is expected to be used for new car test drives.

McLaren announces first 35 cities to get dealers

Ahead of the MP4-12C ’s global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren Automotive announced its global retail network that it will feature 35 retailers in 19 countries in 2011.  The 35 retailers will start selling the new 2011 McLaren MP4-12C. McLaren says that it has plans to grow the network starting 2012. North America will account for 8 of those initial dealerships including U.S. and Canada will initially get 8 retailers. U.S. dealers will be located in the following cities: San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, Tampa.

McLaren will have 13 European retail outlets spread out through UK, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy and Germany.  Later in 2010, McLaren will announce an additional retailers in the Middle East and a network of four retailers in the Asia-Pacific region. And for the MP4-12C is scheduled to go on sale in the spring of 2011.

Bang & Olufsen announces 40-inch BeoVision 8 LCD

You want a Bang & Olufsen LCD that fit your budget. Well they’re announcing the launch of the BeoVision 8 this summer a bit smaller and less expensive than the BeoVision 10. The 40-inches boasts 240Hz motion processing, resulting in a picture refresh rate that B&O say is nearly double conventional LCDs. Unlike the earlier claim, of around $3,500, the cost is now  in the neighborhood of $5,400.
